Ms. McMenemy has spent the last 28 years in the north. She is an advocate for the community of Kuglutuk and a strong voice for Nunavut at large. Ms. McMenemy currently sits on Hamlet Council, for the community of Kugluktuk. Ms. McMenemy and her husband Johnny Kootoo manage the Enokhok Inn & Suites in Kugluktuk. Ms. McMenemy is also actively involved in the Frolics and Christmas committees as well as many fundraisers that arise in Kugluktuk.
